ITER project — step to the future energetics

ITER is a unique international project aimed at construction by its seven Members of the first international
experimental thermonuclear reactor – the largest TOKAMAK in the world. Objective of the project is to
demonstrate technical potential of commercial application of thermonuclear energy.

ITER is the current greatest international scientific and technical endeavor. The member countries of the project
represent more than half of the population of the Earth. ITER is the most complicated highly technological system.

ITER is an example of unprecedented international cooperation of the world scientific leaders to achieve
the global objective.

«ITER is a gateway to thermonuclear power engineering, through which the world needs to pass.»
